Way to Conduct Potty Training in Your Daycare

In your daycare center, you will be dealing with lots of kids and with different ages. Of course, you need to conduct potty training in order to teach some kids under your facility. You need to do planning in order for you to successfully train young kids. You need to focus to toilet training, if you can’t do it, you can ask your staff to do it for you.

You need to check out the kids on your facility, do the kids already have the verbal understanding. The kids should be able to understand and can follow simple instructions. Do the kids are showing signs that they want to do things on their own like pulling their own pants and putting them back? You need to evaluate the kids carefully, you need to know it they are ready for such training. If you are confident enough that they can handle such training, that’s the time, you can prepare them for potty training.

You need to have the right materials for it. You need to have lots of potties and underpants. Underpants should be colored. You need to get pictures of cartoon characters that are wearing underpants. It is s practical solution to have diaper or underpants for any trips. But, make sure that you treat underpants as real pants and not diapers.

You need a doll. You need to potty train the doll in order for the kids to see. Of course, you need to teach the kids, and with the help of the doll, you can make them learn about it.

You need to show that kids that you celebrate the success of the doll when the doll successfully uses the potty; you can praise the doll and give it a sticker that you can put in a wall chart. And as soon as the doll is potty trained effectively and successfully, the doll gets a party. In doing this, the kids can realize and think that being potty trained is a good thing and exciting experience.

You need to say farewell to diapers, you have to remove diapers and let them wear pants, and there is no retreating about it even if it can cause about 2 or 3 accidents. And to practice your kids with their potty, give them more drinks so that they will always urinate. You can always ask the kids if they need the potty, and if they say no, sooner or later they’ll need to go and with that you should ask them later.
